Had a buyer win an auction. Have tried to contact the winner 4 times, but each time Mailer Daemon bounces the email back to me with the message "mediaone.net domain no longer in use".

Pulled the winning bidder's contact info, and buyer still has that email address listed as email contact.

Has mediaone.net gone the way of @home.com?

The item only sold for $5 so a long distance phone call would hardly be cost effective (operating on shoestring budget here)!

Would appreciate any advice. Do I wait and see if the buyer contacts me wanting to know about the shipping info re: their widget?

Hate to contact safe harbor at this point, because I don't want to get someone NARU'd for simply forgetting to update their email address.

Maybe I should just wait 10 days and see if buyer contacts me, then file a NPB.

Any advice welcome!

Thanks in advance!

Yes, AT&T Broadband took over MediaOne over a year ago, and part of the buyout deal stated that they had to phase out the mediaone.net in email addresses and personal website hosting. Both of those went offline on 3/15/02. Perhaps your bidder doesn't realize that he needs to change the email in his ebay account. If he doesn't change he risks getting NARU. All the emails change to attbi.com.

Figure this one out. In the last 2 days I have received 3 returned e-mails from mailer Daemon ( user unknown) at mediaone from someone I have never sent a message to. Since the ID of the "recipient" includes the word antique, I assume it has something to do with ebay but the only connection I can make to that is an auction I had 2 weeks or so ago in which I think (and I am not sure) that ID was a first bidder. When I tried bidder search nothing came up however. Can anyone figure this out because I know I never sent an e-mail to this party.
