Hi, everybody: Better check your account with Half.com and make sure you aren't missing any sales! I just got an urgent e-mail from them tonight saying I've been remiss in some weird way and have until tomorrow at 5 p.m. to confirm the sale of a book. I've searched my e-mail and have no record of any message from them originally saying "you've made a sale." This is scary to me--and of course now I risk a negative feedback from the buyer for being slow?!
I've written a note to the buyer to enclose with the book when I mail it at 9 a.m. sharp tomorrow. Yikes. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes it happened to me, both on Half and on Yahoo! I lost a sale on Yahoo because of it. Emailed them, they ocntacted the buyer and got my sale back! Seems there was a glitch in the system, which they "fixed" Let Half know that you never received the notice...

You know, I did go to the Half.com site to try to send them a message about their missing message or whatever it was that happened but couldn't find a direct link to where I could just send an e-mail and not have to wade through all their FQAs. I was also afraid that some gung-ho guy would actually read my e-mail and screw up my account further in some way! Where would you go to e-mail them directly?
Now what I'm going to do, because of what happened, is schedule a regular visit to my account there just to make sure I'm not missing any more sales. Never used to have to do that--but then, ebay wasn't in Half's life until recently, right? ;-D

I personally would put my entire account on vacation until they smooth out all of the bugs and wrinkles of their transition.

I think you are right about putting the account on vacation. I have been getting my notices very late, and in the past they have failed to send me on three different occasions.
Right now there is an email sitting in my box from a customer who wants an answer and the darn site not only won't let me link to answer it, they're saying I made an error signing in - even though I was able to confirm a sale.
What a mess, but I sort of anticipated it would be. More messes for all to enjoy from the top notch programmers at ebay.
