In another thread someone mentioned "brand loyalty." I just got a new shipment of business cards and decided to put my ebay ID where the business name goes. (I used a template on the free business card site vistaprint.com) I figured my ebay ID IS my "brand."
I am developing a following for the products I make or modify. So, I put all my ebay stuff on my business card: ebay ID, address, e-mail address, types of items sold. I even suggest they bookmark me as a seller.
For those of you who have already done this, how has it worked (any comments on your business cards)?

Been doing it for years. As far as I can tell it hasn't made a lick of difference in sales.
It is useful when explaining to someone (lawyer next door, account rep from the temp agency I use, prospective employees) what the business is about. But it's going to take decades to go through the 1000 cards I ordered.
Oh well.
I found out just how many people have me bookmarked as a seller when my listing count went down to zero last week. Got lots of inquiries about my health and well-being.

I also got the free vistaprint cards.
Company Name
Name
address
phone
Ebay ID
email
website url
I put one in each of my packages. I went through my first box of 500 in about 3 months and am now 30% through the 2nd box of cards.
I have gotten a few repeat customers but I they might not be due to the cards. We all get a few regulars eventually.
I have noticed lately that I am getting a lot of bidders who have the same street address.........like neighbors and people who work in the same office building. I didn't see that before shipping business cards in my packages.
A card recommendation is easier to pass along than telling your girlfriend how to hunt down (insert seller ID) on Ebay.
I works well for me and if you send a professionally printed business card it leaves a good impression.

I have been printing my own business cards using free templates at 7print.com. I purchased packets of 250 cards for .99 cents at a dollar store. Seems less expensive to me than so called free cards once you pay s&h. I can also make them or change them at a moments notice. You could even have different styles dependant on what you are selling. I have my name, ebay id, a Thank You & a "friendly" reminder to leave feedback & a space where I write in the auction #. I have seen an increase in the number of people who leave feedback since I started enclosing these cards.
