I purchased an old photo album with some beautiful old photos in it. Some of the photos feature men in military uniforms. All of the photos are mounted on cards (from some sort of photography studio, I would assume). I have 12 photos total.
Do you think they would sell better with the photo album, or seperately? As one big lot, or individually?
I have no idea who the people are, as the photos are not marked.

I would definitely try selling them first individually. You want to especially do this with any photo that has a "hook" to them, like the guy in the military uniform, wedding dresses, pets, and I've heard that photos of children in old baptismal gowns have been generating interest lately. If the cards give an address of the photography studio, put that city name in your auction title since that might attract bidders who are interested in local history (local history buffs can be quite fanatical when bidding). Try your best to identify the era and types of uniforms before posting the pictures. The ones you don't sell individually can always be clumped together and sold as a group later, but you'll milk more money out of them by posting them individually first.

I buy old photographs, especially black and white ones. I'm more into group scenes from unusual events than family portraits.
I always search for b&w black & white vintage photo photograph. If you can find a way to work those things into your subject or description you should get a lot of hits.
We have signs from God because some of us are too stupid to figure things out for ourselves.

Thanks for the help. I will search how others are posting them, pick the best way, and sell them off one by one (I just put the photo album into my antique booth today, minus all the pictures, of course).

Hi! I assume you've looked at the backs of the pictures? Or are they still pasted in the album? Many of us write IDs on the backs of photos. Just a thought.

No, the photos are attatched to the advertising cards shown in the pictures above. I am not sure how they are attatched, but I am not going to risk destroying them.
I did some searches on eBay, and old b&w photos don't seem to sell very well....
