I have listed some things that were a no-no. My profits were going down hill and was thinking of stop selling anyway. Do I have to get restated just to buy on Ebay. I think it is so unfair to not let you buy on Ebay. Just because what I did as a seller. Everybody makes mistakes.

We here at this discussion board understand that but eBay doesn't. Did they suspend you for good or just for a short time. eBay has a fast and hard rule, do something wrong and out you go. I don't think they ever give you a chance to defend yourself. Good Luck and I hope you can get back.

Good question, but I think suspended means your account is closed (temporarily and permanently) and this means buying and selling. Why purposefully get yourself suspended? Why not cancel the auctions while you still can?

No, they told me I can be reinstated if I reread the agreements and listing policies and step 2 sign a sworn statement and say I willnot do it again and then send to Ebay for reinstatement. What got into trouble was listing Chanel items. They haven't told me but it was the only thing that was ended. They ended everything I had on yesterday. I have decide if is worth to go to the trouble of going through it all.

Normally you are warned at least once before you are suspended. If you don't heed that warning, then you would be suspended. If you register a new id for bidding while another id is suspended, it is grounds for permanent suspension. what I would do is meet their terms, and apply for reinstatement. Once you have been reinstated, then go right ahead with buying.

If you were posting REAL Chanel items and got suspended through the VERO program (Chanel files VERO complaints on every auction that lists their tradename, even if the item is provably genuine) you can contest the underlying suspension through the VERO process. I'd do that before I complied with their little process.... having an uncontested suspension on your record could count as a "strike" against you if you have future problems.

I had a friend who included some Chanel eyeshadow in a lot she had up for sale. Chanel VERO'd her and it was a fairly simply matter to say "No, it's real." She never even got suspended. Did they send you a warning that you didn't act on?

If they weren't real Chanel, then I'd go through the process and get reinstated.

If you were selling a Chanel knockoff item, then you were suspended because of that. Chanel is very strict about knockoffs - if the item is fake, out you go. You can't even sell a Chanel item as a "Chanel replica" or "Chanel copy". It is a trademark copyright infringement. If you really want to get back on eBay to buy items, do whatever you can to satisfy eBay that you will never list or sell that sort of item again - but if you do list that type of item again, you will be suspended forever.

There is no such thing as "trademark copyright infringement" . trademark infringement and copyright infringment are quite different.

Vero allows trademark and copyright owners great latitude in filing unsupportable claims.

ecxuse me for not putting an "or" between trademark and copyright. And yes, it is illegal to post a trademarked or copyrighted item that is a knockoff.

I thought I was listing the real thing because it said Chanel Paris on bottom of scarf. I sold it to recoup my money to someone else. But it is not worth dealing with it again. So even if i tried to go the route of the Vero program I can't prove it without the product. I will probaly go Ebay's route and print the list of things I can't sell so it doesn't happen again. I have sold Ralph Lauren several times. Is that ok to sell?

You can sell Chanel or Ralph Lauren or whatever as long as the item is authentic. If you are buying Chanel at a thrift store, I can pretty much guarantee you that it is a replica item - I have given replica Chanel bags to Goodwill because you cannot even sell them on eBay as a replica. I have bought some fakes on eBay as well, and it really is pretty lousy to spend your money on a replica or cheap knockoff.

Now I have a feeling that your Chanel Scarf is probably a fake. Is there a label or something that says what the fabric is? I have two fake Hermes and no where on a label do they say hermes except in print on the scarf. In fact there is no label on the scarfs. Hermes Scarfs are silk mine are polyester. You sometimes can tell by the way the hem is on the scarf. If it is machine stitch it is probably polyester and that would be a fake. But them sometimes polyester hems are rolled. Difficult to tell. Silk is always rolled. The reason I know my Hermes are fakes is because I compared them to the real thing and there is some descripency.
