my sister just gave me a whole bag full of clothes shed like me to list on ebay. they are very nice teen clothes with brand name labels like roxy and old navy. what would be the best way to go about this since ive never sold clothes before.
i know i should check over each item thoroughly but then what. what would be the best way to list them and what info should i include about the items as well as info to include to keep myself from getting ripped.

Look at some other auctions with similar items and see which you would find appealing enough to bid on. Don't copy those auctions, but use them as a guide.
Saving on shipping costs is particularly attractive to buyers so you might consider listing all the items at the same time.

I suggest up put the tag size and brand in the Title as while as what the item is. In the listing put MEASUREMENTS, waist, inseam etc.
Research auctions for ideas.
I sell new clothing and let me tell you June and July is proven over the last 2 years to be the WORST months for me. End of July things get better. August - April is GREAT! So you might want to wait a while, maybe around back to school time.

Ditto on that! This is NOT the time to sell clothes! I'd like to add that you should sort through them - the really good stuff you should sell individually & the rest divided into lots. GOOD PHOTOS are key to selling clothes & use a live person, mannequin, or form (tons available on e-bay - do a search for "mannequin", if possible. Be honest about any flaws, include measurements, describe fabric.

I would also suggest that you mention in your auction that you have other similiar items/sizes up for auction...state that you will combine shipping so the buyer will save $$. If you have items that may not sell on their own (say an inexpensive top that is just too pricey with shipping expense) try listing them as a "LOT" grouped by size. Good Luck!
