If you add to your item description after someone has placed a bid on it, will it trigger that keyword to show up in Ebay search? Or should I just stop the auction and cancel bids and re-write the auctions?
Thanks

I believe it will trigger to show in a search, but only if they check the box that says "search title and description" which a lot of people don't bother with - depending on the item.

I don't think you can make any changes in the description once a bid has been placed. If I am wrong I hope someone will correct me.

You can't change the description, but you can add to it. Unfortunately your addition shows up way on the bottom after all the paypal etc. stuff and it's in a number 4 font (seems like it anyway). Very difficult to see.

You can change the title, easily... and the copy, too. even the category, if you want. At least- i do, all the time, usually after noticing some desperately misspelled word or something!
I use Auctionwatch to launch. To change my auction, though, I have to use the ebay "revise Item" link at the bottom of the top of the auction... if you know what I mean...
And then you have to sort carefully through the HTML to find the actual words you wrote. If you are afraid you've fouled you auction up entirely, you an hit the button that says "clear all changes" and presto you'll be right back where you started. It's not too difficult, honest!

After a bid has been placed , if I need to add something to the auction description I try to make a couple of rows of "*'s" before and after the added info to make it stand out a little. I believe you can add html but I get too lazy to do that.
