All I have been writing in my TOS is--
Shipping by Priority Mail to be determined at the end of the auction due to the rise in postal fees.

I guess if you charge a handling fee you are going to up front with that charge and list the two items separately.

merchant193, I'm going to go with flat rate shipping. It'll work out in the end. What a nightmare to have to wait for responses to emails if you are a heavy seller.

As soon as I find a rate sheet for the different zones, I will post a page letting people know how much to which zone they are in from me with a 'cheat sheet' to find out what zone they are in from me. I like letting people know how much shipping is, because the cost of shipping is always a factor when I buy something myself. Just can't find the actual rate sheet, found the listing of zip codes/to zones, but not the money pages...

slabholder that is great

That is just what I was looking for. It will be easy to change the weight for the item and that should make it easy for bidders to find the shipping price for them. I am going to tell them to add $1.30 per $50.00 insurance. I am not going to charge a handling fee for now because I think the higher postage will slow down bidding without adding handling cost too.

To get a Zone Chart; got to http://postcalc.usps.gov/Zonechart/default.asp All you have to do is put in your Zip Code & it will automatically set the Zones in relation to your Zip. I have had one for 2 yrs. It really works great. As of now I will not put in any fixed charges for delivery. All shipping charges will be determined by wgt & Zip Code after the auction ends. I will offer alternative shipping via FedEx Ground. I don't think I will lose customers by doing this.

This info for the zip code box looks great. How do you enter your info into this for each auction? Or can you? Thanks for any help, I am still a newbie when it comes to HTML.
Help from anyone would be greatly appreciated....
