I am wondering what lame excuses other have had for late payments etc. I sold a book almost 4 weeks ago, reply from buyer, but no payment. Sent 4 emails, reminder from eBay, then NPB form 2 days ago. I just got a reply. "Hi.... Sorry about the delay, I had to buy stamps, check is in the mail, please let me know as soon as it arrives". What a nerve! How about sending out the payment right away!!!

I had a customer that never replied to my email. I filed NPB and FVF. The FVF resulted in them being booted off eBay.
Three months later they sent me an email stating they now wanted to purchase the item and at the same time sent a Paypal payment before I could respond.
They were very nice about everything so I sent the item and reversed the FVF so that eBay got their share.
They are still not registered on eBay so they must have had many more FVF's than just mine.

About a month and a half ago, had an auction end. It had 2 bidders.
Sent my EOA notice, and high bidder responded right away with 'you took me by surprise! I won't have the money ($7.50 bid plus $3.95 shipping) until I receive a check promised to me, and they haven't paid yet. Maybe around the 15th'
(took her by surprise? hello? she bid, and the last day also......)
Yeah right. I chalked that up to no pay, and then a month and a half later, I get an email and she told me I should have sent her a reminder
I deleted that one.
I am not going to keep items around for months. I honestly don't know what goes through bidders minds. Why bid at all???

I read this once so I can't take credit for it. "eBay is hazadous to your family's health so be careful when bidding", I, too, have had my share of deaths in the family emails......

I had a good one also. Item ended May 30 for a set of chairs at $650.00. Sent EOA notice, no reply. Sent another 4 days later, still no reply. Three more days goes by and request her user info. Get telephone number and get an answering machine message, which part of it says "if I haven't called you back, its because I don't want to".
Realizing I have a deadbeat bidder, I checked her bidding history. Seems same day she bid on my chairs, she also bid and won an auction for a table and chairs. So I email the Seller and inquire if he was paid, to which he replies, yes. Figuring this person found something else and decided to buy it, I file for FVF. Still no reply. After the appropriate time, I file for my refund. Still no email. A month after the auction ends, I send a final email to this person advising I will neg if I don't receive payment within 5 days. No reply.
10 days later I neg. That same day, guess what? I finally hear from the bidder. Here is the gist of her reply:
"Just came back from a funeral and found out that my roommate played a cruel joke on me and bid on several items using my ebay id. She was supposed to take care of things and I see she hasn't. I will get her email address and give it to you and you can contact her for payment".
Yeah right! I want to be a collection agency for her "alleged" roommate. Asked her how she missed my EOA and emails, when she received the EOA emails for the table and chairs she won and paid for?
I really don't think people much care about feedback anymore. I don't feel guilty for giving her a neg either. I certainly went way overboard in trying to contact her. I do find it funny that the only contact I received was after I filed the negative. So far (I am still crossing fingers) I have not received a retalitory neg from her.
