Does anyone have any suggestions where I can find the best buy on Tyvek (or similiar) envelope/mailers? I need 9x12 & larger.
Thanks for the help!

A while back, I found a good deal online at Quill. They had a buy one package get one package free on several different sizes of the Tyvex mailers. You might check there.

Is this only certain Post offices? I'm not able to get any free at my post office unless they are for Priority mail. Otherwise, my post office sells other types of mailers like the padded mailers etc.....

Yes of course they're priority mailers.
The only thing the P.O. gives away is Priority supplies.

Office Depot has them. In bulk too. I forget the prices, but I get them there whenever I need them.

If you are using priority mail you can order them for free off of the www.usps.com web site.
Finer Fashions on Ebay, top designers, latest styles.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.
Uline looks like it has the best prices so far. Quill isn't offering the 2/1 special anymore.
I already get the Tyvek Priority envelopes from the USPS. I am trying to find a way send lighter items for less than $3.85 while not spending a fortune on mailers.
Thanks again.

Try http://www.esupplystore.com/. They refer to them as "White Poly Mailers". Price for 9x12 is $16.35 per 100 plus shipping. Their number "0" bubble mailers are the lease expensive I have found anywhere.(Or order then from UPS OR FedEx & Turn them inside out & tape shut. Although I didn't tell you to do that)

Try Uline. They have warehouses across the nation & they have very competitive prices. You can get 10 X 13 in 100's for $25.00/ case plus shipping. A case weight 4#. Call 1-800-295-5510 for the warehouse nearest to you.

I have found that Associated Bag Co. is the cheapest for shipping supplies!
www.associatedbag.com
They also have the FASTEST turnaround (I ordered at 2pm and I received the order the next morning!)
PS. You are right, the mailers at the PO are for priority only... but there are those that feel OK about turning them inside out and using them without paying priority (I am not one of those people).

Last year we followed the Tyvek mailer auctions on eBay closely, and found that only one seller regularly listed the size we needed (6 x 8 or 6 x 9, I forget). We won enough of his auctions to establish our bonafides, then asked how many he had left and what price he could give us.
He had 16,000 envelopes left and the price was good. We bought 'em all. I've gone through almost 5,000 so far.
The moral is: some of these shipping supplies sellers are folks who bought a huge surplus lot, even though they're selling one box or so at a time. Ask about quantities. We bought a ton of Dymo/CoStar label rolls the same way.

For many common shipping supplies I still use parrothead88 on eBay. He's in Florida but has the same s/h fees for everyone but AK/HI. He'll combine s/h costs and lower them on multiple orders.
