I am sick of WBNs getting bounced back to me by AOL saying xxx IS NOT ACCEPTING MAIL FROM THIS SENDER. Is there any way to solve this problem? I can't get through using AW, ebay, or my personal email account. AOL is a scourge on this planet.

Could do what I did get a bring your own provider account with AOL for $4.95 a month.

this gives you 4 hours a month dail up access and unlimted access to your account from the web.

then you can send AOL bidders email from your AOL account.

pelorus, AOL recently made some changes and when I called them to ask why I couldn't send email to AOL, they referred me to this page online and to contact my ISP - I did both and it was resolved within 48hours.

The open relay part is a relatively new AOL block and I believe and it takes your ISP to work with AOL to resolve the conflict.

pelorus,
Get yourself a Yahoo e-mail address and one from Hotmail. Then try and e-mail the winners using one of those. I have this trouble as well and when I do, I use the one of those to get through. If it get's bounced on those as well, I wait for a few days to see if the buyer contacts me. Often times they do and usually with a different e-mail address. If they don't, do the normal steps in filing NPB and FVF and move on.
Good luck to you,
bp

I would not suggest Hotmail and Yahoo as freemail starters. They are used by spammers and that is why they are blocked by AOL. I like to use more obscure freemail locations. AUSI is good. They are in Australia, they are small, and i have never had a problem using their site.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. I was finally able to get through by responding directly to buyer's email, which she sent inquiring whether the audiobook was from a smoke free home. I said yeah, for the 3 weeks I had it, and I got it from a smoke free thrift shop.
