This pin belonged to the father of a friend of mine...the father served in WWII. Can anyone tell me anything about it? As usual, all help is appreciated!

blueyes29, The pin represents the 3rd Armored Division. The 3rd known as "The Spearhead" fought in the European Theater during World War II. Major battles fought were at: St Lo, (France) Battle of the Bulge(Belgium) Cologne and Rhur Pocket (Germany) If it's of WWII vintage. You have a very nice collectable pin. Beware of modern day imitations.

Most defintely #rd Armored Division. It was headed by "Blood & Guts" General Patton. Was the lead group in the breakout from the beaches of Normandy.
