Help, please!

Since the USPS has changed its website (not very user friendly now, IMHO), I can no longer find the site to print labels with delivery confirmation anymore.

Knew I should have bookmarked it!

Can any of you great AW regulars help me find it again?

Have the discounted rates for printing your shipping labels with delivery confirmation disappeared?

Many thanks in advance for any help you can give me!

Frustrated USPS user here!

I know how you feel. I never could find it in the old site either. I had to book mark it after someone else gave me the link.

Thanks for your help! Found the website and have bookmarked it (until they change the website again).

Now, I have another question.

Is the e-confirmation available only for Priority mail?

Seems I remember that e-confirmation was available for media mail, parcel post, and even first class mail after the recent rate hikes.

Maybe this is just wishful thinking, or I am brain dead after spending 10 hours writing and launching 30+ auctions this evening!

If e-confirmation is available for these other services, I will certainly be grateful for your help, because I have a ton of packages to ship tomorrow!

If the service is available for these other methods of shipping (especially media and first class) your help is most appreciated! Just point me in the right direction!

Thanks again!

It is available if you download their Shipping Assistant (new version). Don't be surprised if your Post Office doesn't know about the DC being available for first class.

Make sure you have Acrobat Reader 5 before downloading their Shipping Assistant.

No you can use the econfirmation for first class parcel also but there is a 13 cent charge for that. They will charge you when they scan it.

snobbish,
To the best of my knowledge, you can only get eDC for other than Priority through use of the Shipping Assistant which you have to downland (for free) from their site. The charge for the eDC will only be 13 cents.

Endicia internet postage also supports ALL of the E/DC options, including First Class.

Another new feature which folks are really liking is the "stealth" postage indicia, whereby the amount of postage is not presented in human readible form.

Uh Oh! I might have a problem with my local post office. Libra63, when I take my Priority packages to the post office with the free confirmation label on it, they don't scan it in! They told me early on that it is scanned into the system at the same time I am printing it out from the website. Is it different for first class parcels? Do they have to scan just those in so they can charge me the 13 cents?

My post office also no longer scans the e-delivery confirmation....the problem is that if they scan the DC it shows up in their data base the next day. If they do not scan it does not show up until they deliver the package. If they loose it I have no proof that I mailed it.
I may just go back to UPS on just about everything.

"....the problem is that if they scan the DC it shows up in their data base the next day. If they do not scan it does not show up until they deliver the package"

Ask the retail clerks (or better yet, your carrier) to scan the packages using the small hand held gun carried by all carriers. When a little menu pops up after the scan, tell them to choose the "pickup" event. That evening, the USPS web site will show that the package has been transferred to USPS control at the date/time of the scan.

I was at the post office this morning, dropping off packages and noticed the clerk did scan the DC with a handheld gun. I asked her about it and was told that since the rate increase went into effect they have started to scan the website DC's. Makes me feel better.
