I've been unable to list the last hour. I'm on page 5 "Review and Submit Listing" and the page is frozen. Reloaded a dozen times to no avail. In the last month I've lost about 500 sales due to unable to list. I'm just tired of ebay and their crappy technology. God knows the place is falling apart and can't keep it operable, but god damn skip the jet and get the POS site operable.

Wow quick. You posted something that made sense. I agree with you on this one. I keep reading about people listing with 5 pages to go through to get an item listed. For some reason, my computer will not accept the new format for listing a catagory and have to list through 6 pages. I don't have DSL or Cable so it takes some time for these pages to load. The last time I listed, it consistantly took me 5 minutes to post a listing. The old form I could do in about 2 minutes. Time to promote Yahoo I think.

Must be your connection. I just listed and then edited an item ... no problems or slowdown.

I take it that you are not using A/W for your listing, right? I don't list 500 or more per month so I can't sympathize with you, I do 4 to 5 a day 3 or 4 days a week. All through A/W with no problems. I am not a high volume seller, just a high quality seller. Many of my items go for over $500.00.

This one baffles me. Why do you not use a service like AW? Have you have lost 500 sales or $500.00 in sales due to the glitches?

I've had sporadic problems re-listing. eBay is switching security software, this may have something to do with it.

Have you tried a different browser like Opera or Netscape to post? I use IE 5.5 have not had any issues posting lately.

Or it could be that eBay is now able to anticipate listings that they will end early anyway, and just want to save themselves the hassle

It got back to working after 1 hour. I was literally one second away from turning it off, and it unfroze.

I have webtv, haven't had this sort of problem for a long time that's why I keep webtv, but will get a computer for Christmas and a DSL line.

AW isn't compatible with webtv for bulk listings, but I use it for Image hosting.

I've lost about 500 sales not dollar amount. I was unable to list for three weeks while the Techs were playing hookie while Meg was planning for the convention or away in Anaheim. Then I had a few temporary problems listing until yesterday.

Summer is always that time when I have problems with webtv. I did contact PowerSeller support and they said they were aware of the problem and were fixing it, which is different from their usual response, "it's not our problem."

Hey RB, yea right. I still have those "questionable" items that got me booted off Yahoo, but ebay does allow them. I've delayed selling them because I'm concerned I may cross some line at ebay and would rather wait until I study up on their rules. Can't afford to be booted off ebay at the moment.

Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

quickdraw29 I used webtv for 2 years on ebay. I changed to a computer a little over 2 years ago and about 6 months ago got cable service. Don't wait untill Christmas!!! You will cut your work time in half with a computer and even more with cable.
