Thank you for your responses, this is to let you know where we stand (was told to keep you informed).

So far nothing from the seller. Eric tried to start another Dutch auction WITH 230 hoses LOST in the US mail. At least Ebay shut him down after 4 days.

Several people turned in the "Ms. Layton" email from the US post Office using Hotmail as a address for fraud. So far no word.

Several (I personally heard from 18) are filing with the IFCC (FBI fraud).
I just filed with Square Deal. It is 31 days after auction.

One bidder heard from Paypal and was refused a refund. I haven't heard where I stand yet, I did use a credit card thank goodness. Missed out the the $1000 Paypal give away (like I truely believe in this) using the credit card but I have another option.

Eric has over $4000.00 of our money from this auction alone. Good side job.

This group is great keeping each other informed. Does anyone have any other suggestions. Yes, we want our money back but we want to stop this kind of fraud.

WOW! A lot of good Square Deal did.

Eric Stone has contacted us asking us to close the case, for the following reason:

"I will resolve this directly with the other party without SquareTrade."

I hope Eric didn't say BOO! to loud and scare this group.

No one from the Dutch auction has heard from (him not even a thank you suckers, it was easy money)

Why play games with this guy? With 4 grand at stake I would call the police department in his city and report it as a scam. I'm sure he can direct them to the lady at the post office with the Hotmail addy who can verify anything he says. If not, let's see if he can look a cop in the eye and tell him the same story he's been feeding his customers via email. The first call to the PD probably won't get too much action. If everyone in the group complains, they can't ignore it. If they do, contact the Attorney General in his state.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.
