I recently won an E-Bay auction for a plaster mold. I received it yesterday. I have received several such items via USPS Priority with no damage. The one I got yesterday was in pieces. There was plaster everywhere. It was awful. My husband found the box not on our front door stoop but IN THE BUSHES, as if someone had just tossed it in our front yard. I do not believe this was the fault of the seller, as she appeared to have packed this item properly. This is the second time they have tossed packages over the fence and just into the front yard. I photographed the damage and will file a claim with UPS. I just wanted you all to know about this.

Never a problem with UPS for me. But then again, I always package an item as if it will get damaged. I guess maybe I get a little lucky too.

UPS is the only way I ship. Yes the items have to be packaged well but that's to be expected no matter what means shippers use.

I sell and ship cast iron products. Cast iron is hard but very fragile. I have some damaged items, but very few.

UPS always takes care of the claim and I send the customer another item the day after being notified. They are far better than the USPS with the speed they pay and with far less hassle.

To each his own but i'll never ship with the USPS again.
