Last year, as school was just getting back in and the ebay traffic should have started heating up, moronic Islamists decided to wreak havoc on our country. We survived that, but then moronic ebay decided to wreak havoc upon sellers.
Things went down. Then summer hit.
Now school's back in session, it's a year later, etc. etc. etc. Are things finally starting to pick up on general auctions? Or should I just cart all my inventory to Goodwill?

Yes, you can still sell good stuff...but only at a fraction of what it would have sold for a year or so ago.
Until this year, and especially this summer, I had never complained about my sales. Even when others were in the 'summer slump', I was always going right on along.
Like everyone else, I am hoping things will pick up soon - maybe after Labor Day?
But I'm not at all sure that eBay sales will ever be what they once were. I personally am looking for alternatives.

Since Sept 11th, the sure thing items have been selling at about 75% of the time. Becoming marginal items. The marginal items before Sept 11th, did sell about 50% of the time making it worth the risk to list them. Since Sept 11th the marginal items sell at about a 1% rate. They need the exact right buyer to purchase them. Hardly worth the risk anymore. Also, what was a sure fire seller last year, often times now is no longer a seller. ARE WE BACK. I doubt it. Xmas season is almost a given for decent sales. It is what will happen after that to see if many of the sellers stick with it or move on.
