Reliable merchants is an orginization, very similar to the Better Business Bureau, by joining, and maintaining a good feedback rating with ebay, yahoo, whoever, customers can click on your "link" and be given your "score" which is an aggregate total of your time in business, ratio of negative, neutral, and positive feedbacks, and your ability to handle any/all complaints, it is a less expensive alternative than joining BBB, or even Square Trade, and will give customers a fairly good idea what type of business they are dealing with, give it a try for a month or two, I have had, under this email address, on Ebay, their service for over a year and really do like it----John

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when ReliableMerchants first came to AW to promote their service it was being operated by a 17 yr old who was selling diet pills on ebay. He got booted off for being underage.

Why not let your feedback rating speak for itself? Why pay a third party to do it for you? Also how many bidders actually click on all those icons?

Thanks for the input, I couldn't really see the value of it, think I'll give it a miss.

I would take things at face value, rather than what someone thinks about the origins. I use RM because they have a good looking interface, give my real (confirmed) name and do provide a bit of assurance to the buyer. I get my hits when I have expensive watches or coins listed and in the Ebay world of today, I think buyers appreciate the extra info. They seem to click on it when bidding gets up into the $hundreds. jmho, works for me.
