I have a couple of deadbeats..who do you go to for collections? I recall seeing a website posted here at one time. Thanks!

Check with your state's Prosecuting Attorney's office for a 'bad check' department. I just sent in a $15 check to mine. They send a free letter to the bouncer to pay up. They will sometimes include the fees your bank charges you.

If that doesn't work, then it's time for a collection agency.

Has this actually worked for anyone using it just against a deadbeat?

I can see bad checks, but not just because someone doesn't pay for an auction.

Seems like throwing good money after bad, I know it would be very easy to have a "didn't pay so and so for an eBay auction" removed from your credit history if ever ended up there.

Online collection agencies like MAD only take a few minutes and cost nothing and get results. A worthwhile gambit instead of merely chalking a bad check up to expierence.
