I had 2 of the same items with BIN on them..

They both were sold... to the same person... fine.... however, the buyer with (0) feedback believes he just bought 1.

Maybe he did, but I'll still have to pay FVF on the other, here's the times of the BINS, exact same item, same price, same buyer:

13:32:33 PDT
&
13:33:20 PDT

Ok I can see HE could do that, but he believes he just bought one? Could this be an eBay glitch?

There is an ebay glitch with Fixed Price Listings. I reported it and it was a known problem ebay was trying to solve. The buyers browser freezes and they do not know they have bought two (or more!). I had someone buy 4 this way. Ebay took off the FVF's right away. Or you can wait a week and file a non paying bidder alert where you select the option that says and the buyer have mutually decided not to go through with the sale and you get you FVF back. They send the buyer an email and the buyer does not get a black mark. This is certainly true here - they thought they only bought one. I have had it happen several times.

No ebay glitch.
The buyer bid on two separate and distinct auctions.
He bid on one, then he had to go to the other and bid on that.

Looks like a glitch to me. There was only 47 seconds seperating the ending times of the two auctions. I don't think there are that many newbies that can do that. Besides, what would be the point? If he's willing to complete one transaction, I'd drop the other and get my fvf back through the mutual agreement process.

sparkz I thought that also, it did seem too quick for him to go and hit the buy it now on the other...

But ebay did send me two end of auction notices with the two different auctions, with the same buyer, so he's getting those emails too.

I didn't know there was a FVF where the buyer didn't get the 'black mark'

learn something new everyday

thanks!

Since he doesn't have any feedback or a track record to examine, about the only thing you have to go on is his sincerity in completeing one transaction. I would see how that works out and if it goes o.k., give him the benefit of the doubt. You have plenty of time to decide which way to go on the FVF.

I thought I bid on one item about a week ago. Ebay and the seller claim I bought four.. I asked the seller how it happened and they think I made a mistake. I paid for four.. Maybe it was a glitch. I can't even imagine how I could have made the mistake. I have bought hundreds of items in the past few years. This was the only tme it ever happened.

I have that happen on fixed price listings all the time - at least a few times a week! I emailed ebay awhile ago - about 2 days after the fixed price listings started and they emailed me back saying - no one else is having that problem, just file for your FVF. Well, I never bothered since it usually just happens on my $1.99 videos and it's too much trouble for a few pennies. At least now I know that it's happening to other people and ebay is working on it. I never made the buyer take more than one, though. I want them to come back to visit my auctions again and if they see me as unreasonable they probably won't.
