Log on today to find that I've got a nice big negative staring me in the face. Seems my shipment wasn't fast enough for said person. Payment is postmarked 10/2, received 10/8, item was sent yesterday 10/11 (I even emailed her that it was sent as I usually do), and what do I find?

"Complaint: Still have not received......10/11/02 I would not bid again"

How F*****g nice...just like usual (for these newbie dumb@$$e$) she fires first and didn't even bother to contact me to find out whether or not there was any problem or anything. Now I've got a nice red mark starting by current buyer right in the face. Should I ding her right back for being an idiot? While we're at it should I even email her to chew her out (she's going on the blocked bidder list anyway)?

@#$^%&@!(&@!(!@!

This isn't fun the first time it happens. Sure, I'd counter-neg her.

Just to add, even if I'd sent it the minute I'd received payment, I'm assuming she STILL would've dinged me anyway (usually takes more than 3 days from PA to CA via First Class...lucky if Priority gets there that fast).

Stupid @$$...

Revenge is sweet! Nail this doornob back, then block them from your auctions and email.

Don't forget to respond to your neg with the dates. Nice and calmly.

One neg isn't going to do much. Got one myself.
Think of it as a red badge of courage for being an eBay seller.

Edited to add that it's always the loonie. Normal people would let you know that there's a concern.

Responded to the neg with the just the facts...think I'll wait a couple of days on her lashing. I've got a stinking suspicion that if I leave her a neg before she gets the package that it'll undoubtedly arrive "damaged" or "not at all" (cough). Interestingly enough, I checked her FBs...she recently gave someone a neutral for "Item received out of package", to which that person gave her a positive with "Okay to deal with, not good on communications", so I think this "shoot first, forget about asking questions" is becoming a trend with her.

EDITED AGAIN: yep...did some snooping and she's slapped a few others with negatives for "slow shipment" (<2 weeks)...nobody's yet fought back it seems as she's gotten all positive even when she's slapped a few of them.

The same thing happend to me. Instead of slow shipping, the item got damaged. The jerk wrote " mirror arrived broken, bad handling by FedEx, not your fault". He had registered the day before he won the auction. I made a very calm reply to the neg, and then slammed him with one that would make any seller break out in cold sweats and cancel his bid. It took me 2 weeks to get enough pos to make that neg scroll to page two. I followed his bidding for a long time, and his average winning bid was $30.00. It cost him $750.00 to get my neg to scroll to page 2. He hasn't given any negs since. Maybe my email to him suggesting he contact the seller first about a problem got his attention.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

That does suck, and sorry it happened.

I wish you guys could share the name of these bidders that do this with the rest of us, so we can block them too.

I would wait, did you have DC on it? If so, wait until she gets the item.

13 of 990=1.3%. (1.3 per 100)
However I am sure that any New Economy CFO or accountant would support your 0.0013% answer.

lanefamily: I've gotten a couple of these lately, too. I think we need to lobby eBay to change the Feedback Forum. NO ONE (and I mean no one) should be allowed to leave feedback stating that payment was made but item never shipped unless they can PROVE that payment was made.

Acceptable proofs would be: cancelled check, copy of cancelled money order, etc.

Some of these dipsticks need to learn that waving your checkbook in the general direction of California does NOT constitute payment.
