For the third time in as many months, I have purchased a set of dinnerware from a well known maker, only to find that I can find no information on the pattern at all. I just bought a 10 place setting of Homer Laughlin, it says "Seville" on the back, but that pattern on the couple of things on eBay is nothing like mine. I am hoping that someone will recognize it. The cups are unusual because they have no handles.

I also bought 4 Noritake plates, plain white with a gold rim on the border, can't find them either!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I looked on Replacements, and there are so many Homer Laughlin patterns, but not mine.

Sometimes, what appears to be the pattern name is actually the shape name.

The shape may be decorated with any different number of decals and that decoration may not have a name of its own.

Hall did this a lot, using a shape and slapping lots of different decals on it.

Some popular decorations are named by collectors in later years.

I think fluffy nailed it.

Here's an undecorated Seville plate

THere are several photos found on the Google engine that are Seville yet have different patterns.

Thanks for the help. Wow, that is some expensive plate, $155 for a plain white plate, and it weighs 34lbs!! Maybe I am reading it wrong. So if there is no pattern name, anyone like to hazzard a guess on the flowers on the pattern, Iris? Orchids?

Go to networkpatternmatching.com . They have over 400 Homer Laughlin patterns. There's no photo but the Seville they have is $15.88. That's a big difference.

The ad for the link tooltimes gave you is 34 pounds and $155 for a package of 2 DZ.
Being right is nice, being obnoxiously right can cost one friends.

Quit looking in Replacements & send them the picture/ Send it to [email protected], They can't begin to list all of the patterns on their website. I won't guarantee they can ID it, but if they can't, I don't know who can. By the way "seville" is not a patter, it is a shape. This is a commonerror. another one is "eggshell nautilus" again mot a patter, a shape.
