Well, seems as though PayPal can't stand the competition! After having the C2it logo on eBay for the last 6 mos, NOW eBay is threatening to cancel my auctions!!!!
Speaking personally for myself, when I get charged $.72 cents on the dollar using PayPal, I would rather use C2it ANY day since they do NOT charge neither the SELLER NOR the BUYER!
Anyone else feel the same????

I feel the same......HOW do we put the C2it logo in our ads???? Can we put ANY in our ads? Where can I go to get the new "info" that I CAN put in my ad for C2it. My first thought was that Ebay wants EVERYONE to use PayPal......I can't afford all these charges...will have to quit soon if Ebay, Auction Watch keep raising prices! HELP if you know HOW to keep some kind of clickable icon in my ad for C2it. THANKS!

If I got charged a 72% fee I know I wouldn't use PayPal either, my rate is a bit lower. I'll accept a C2it payment if the buyer requests it, but there is no way on God's green earth I'll use C2it as a buyer. I've got a VISA issued though Bank of America (cash advance fees if used with C2it), I've got a MasterCard issued through Chase Manhatten Bank (can't be used with C2it), and a DiscoverCard (can't be used with C2it.)
C2it does accept MasterCard, but not if it's issued from Chase Manhatten Bank... yeah, that seems weird to me also, but I tried and tried, and finally I called C2it and that's what I was told. If I'm wrong on that someone please correct me.

$.72 on the dollar? If someone pays for a $25 item via Paypal you're only looking at about $1.10, hardly $.72 on the dollar. I can see where your AVERAGE would be higher if you had small dollar items but you would have to be running some pretty dinky items to have that high of an average. If I remember reading the "problem" correctly it was that the C2IT logos were TOO BIG. Just like our photos through AW, they can only be up to a certain size byte-wise. The larger the logo, the larger the byte-size and that is what Ebay is fussing about. Competition has nothing to do with it, it's storage that is the problem for them, data storage that is.
I again (this is sounding really weird) do agree with you if I had a 72 % Mark up, I would not use a service either. I think the OP has a little mistake in his numbers

Just quit using the logo. Put it in your terms for payment options. That is acceptable by there own terms. That is what I did when they didn't allow the paypal logo's either. Even though, they did relax the paypal logo thing, I found not using the logo increased my sales. I think it is because people that have dial up internet hated to wait for every page to load because of all of those jpg.s. Removing the logo made the pages load faster and bidders tended to stick around to see the whole auction. I would use this situation to your advantage and move on.

I won't use C2it. I used to until my brother sent me a dollar and was charged $15 (1400% fee)
There was nothing he could do because they do it as a cash advance.
I have no problem letting paypal have $0.022 on the dollar. If they charged $.72 they would have been gone years ago.
When I found out about the way they charge I removed them as a payment method right away.
So it REALLY is NOT FREE for the buyer unless they happen to have the right credit card.
