I've noticed that I'm only being charged 1 cent for gallery fee, isn't it supposed to be 25 cents? I'm using it on all my auctions since its only a penny. Is it a limited special I don't know about?

It's been all over ebay in a large icon for a week now:
----
Starting Tuesday, October 22, 2002 between 00:00:01 PT (12:00 AM plus one second on October 22, 2002) and ending 23:59:59 PT October 24, 2002 (11:59 PM plus 59 seconds)
The Gallery fee for Regular auction-style listings, Fixed Price listings, eBay Motors - non vehicles listings, Real Estate listings, and Store Inventory listings (<=30 day) will be $0.01 on the U.S. site (www.ebay.com). When you list your item and select the Gallery option, you will automatically get Gallery for just a penny. The Gallery Fee will also be reduced in Picture Pack from $1.00 to $0.76 during Penny Gallery Days. For all listing durations greater than 30 days, please view the pricing chart below.

All other fees (all insertion fees, all final value fees, all other optional listing fees*) will still be charged. Also, if you choose to List in 2 Categories and select the Gallery option, the Gallery fee will be $0.02 plus double any insertion fees. Listings revised to add the Gallery option October 22-24, 2002 that were not first listed during the promotional period are also excluded. Listings created during the promotional period Oct 22-24, but scheduled to start at a later date will also be excluded.
eBay Motors - vehicles, Sothebys.com, Live Auction, International, and Professional Services listings are excluded from Penny Gallery Days

Thanks tooltimes. I guess I spend most of my time in "My Ebay" page. I see nothing there about it, but looked under SELL, which I don't use and now see it. Nice! I like to add a gallery pic, but not usually on lower priced items.

I relist a lot (having duplicate items often) so I won't be using the 1 cent Gallery option. Odds are I would forget to uncheck the Gallery box in subsequent relists.

Which is probably EXACTLY what eBay is hoping for!

I agree, and they'll make a bundle doing that and and get a few new users of the expensive gallery option. I'll skip it even at a penny. I only shop by regular search so it seems an expensive waste of money to me anyway.

First time in a long time I agree with Fluffy. I almost did it the last time. I did it on my listing tonight, but if it had happened on a day I normally do not list, I would not have listed just to get the penny gallery.

I guess I'm in the minority here as I almost always use the Gallery...figure it's inexpensive (relatively)...and figure, also, that folks go "window shopping" using the Gallery. So, the penny gallery on the 24th was a nice little extra bonus.
