I cannot seem to find what the ebay policy is about having an email address in an auction. I read that you cannot type out an email address but can you put a link to your email in an auction? does anybody know for sure?

I don't know where the policy is, but I put my email address along with an emergency email address in my about me page.

I know for sure.
The answer is yes.
I do it in my auctions.
And it's allowed.
