Hi, all: For the third time this week, I've been told by Ebay that a transaction isn't a valid one for me.
I received two checks from two buyers today; went into feedback to leave feedback, clicked on send, and got two red-letter messages. This happened earlier this week. The transaction numbers are identical, etc.

You are probably getting that message because you are either.. not logged in or.. you are logged in under another ebay ID.

You know, I"m hearing that Feedback may well be all screwed up! (By the way, I was logged in each time I tried to leave it.)
Some of my buyers are now reporting the same problem, and I went to the feedback message board, asked my question, and was told it's happening to others.
But checking my "feedback I've left" list, the red-lettered refusal feedback items did go through anyway! Go figure. Damn that ebay. Sometimes I could kick 'em to the curb. . . .

I got one last week. I felt bad that I couldn't leave a positive feedback after the bidder left one for me. I was logged in to ebay and I have only one rbay account. This has happened about 3 times now in the last 3 years. It must be an ebay glitch of some kind.
It is possible to get that message if you try to leave for the seller if you are the seller or bidder if you are the bidder but sometimes the message appears when everything is as it should be.

I haven't noticed any problems leaving feedback but I did see someone with a feedback rating of 3 and only had 2 feedbacks.

Here's an update:
I e-mailed TAGnotes about this problem. They said it's sporadic but ongoing with ebay and ebay doesn't seem able to fix it.
They suggest leaving feedback either by clicking on the auction page feedback button itself or through the My Ebay page.
It's been reported by some of my buyers that the feedback did go through anyway.
Of course, by the time we know there IS a problem, ebay has erased that sale from our feedback to leave list. And now I know the feedback may go through anyway! So if I try again with the other two methods outlined above, and the feedback has gone through anyway, I"ll get a message, right?, saying I can't leave feedback. Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Might as well try the other two methods anyhow, if it happens again, which it hasn't in the last 20 hours. . . .

You can't leave feedback if all tyou get is an eror message. I've tried every trick in the book to leave feedback and it is impossible sometimes. I've tried different days, weeks, re-log in, different computers, you name it. If ebay messed up the transaction participents names then it's has to be fixed by them and not the seller/buyer. Thank goodness it's a rare occurence.
