Hi, I don't post very much anymore, but I do lurk alot. I have a question for all you seasoned people here.
Do you -have/or have had- an eBay and/or AuctionWatch Store? Are there worth the expense? Did they do well for you? If so which one did better or are both about the same?
I am thinking about opening one and am wondering about these things. All help and opinions are greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

My AW store brought in 14% of my monthly sales last month, most of it higher margin then my eBay sales.
I've never tried an eBay store, so I can't comment on that. But I've found that my store is perfect for conducting "off eBay side deals", for repeat buyers or for buyers who want to upgrade their order or add accessories to it.
In the end, it depends on what you sell, how your business model works and most importantly, how you utilize it. I think the fees are more then worth it, you just have to devise a way to make the store profitable.

I have mixed feelings about the AW stores. I finally opened one through AW while the trial was still free. I never sold one item that I had actually listed through the store but I noticed when I received payment from my auctions that people were bidding and had eventually paid through the AW store. Even after setting up the store I was not quite sure how the thing actually worked but I seemed to get alot of traffic through it. I still am suspicious about it and wonder if I actually had people getting to my auctions through the store or if AW just wanted me to think I did. After a while I just put junk in the store that didn't sell on auction so I didn't care if I really sold anything out of the store, it seemed more just as advertising to me for my auctions. I am still in debate weather or not to re-open the store. It was low maintenance so I really wouldn't mind however I still havn't figured out if I would profit from using it simply as advertising which is what really happened in the end.
