A buyer just paid me for an item and then sent an email telling me that she didn't know the auction stated Narrow and that her husband said she can't wear a Narrow shoe. UUUGGHHHH, so I can refund her money, but do I still pay the paypal fee? Thanks for your help, cramer

When you refund a Paypal payment, you are not charged the fee.

She needs her husband to tell her she can't wear a narrow shoe?????

I would refund the money now and get rid of this one quick.

Looks like another village has misplaced their idiot.

When you refund a Paypal payment, you are not charged the fee.

There use to be a 5 day time limit on free refunds so if the payment was made more than 5 days there should be a fee.

PayPal increased the time limit on a free refund to 30 days several months ago. The refund link is at the bottom of the transaction page.

Thank you, Ewora. Next question....to get my final value fees back do I have to wait seven days to report on the Non-paying bidder, then wait the 10 days for FVF or is there another way after the transaction has been cancelled? Thanks for all of your help,,,,cramer

When you go to the NPB page.
Select the choice that states, that you and the buyer agreed to cancel the sale.
This will give you a credit right away.

dad.... here's the message I got...is there another way?
"Our records indicate that the auction that you would like to file a Non-Paying Bidder Alert Form ended less than seven days ago. We want to help you resolve your non-paying bidder problems, but please wait at least seven days before filing a Non-Paying Bidder Alert."

I only did this once, over a year ago.

I just went in and looked around, seems you'll have to wait the 7 days.

But that will be it you will not have to file a FVF after 10 days.

Remember when you file, choose both parties agreed to cancell.

just goes to show you it doesn't pay to be the nice guy....I'm still waiting for my fees to be refunded....meanwhile this buyer has purchased the exact shoe in NARROW (like mine)from a competitor and paid $10.00 more....go figure.
Anyone know what kind of message a buyer gets who tries to bid on an auction they have been blocked from? Just curious...
