Hi all,
I recently aquires these 2 figurines. But I don't know what they are except for the fact that they were purchased at Walt Disney World/Land. They look vintage. But I don't have info on them. All help, info & websites would be greatly appriciated.

I didn't try to open this, but I will guarantee these are not vintage if they came from a Disney store. They won't sell on eBay for what you paid for them.

I agree with sanmar. Anything in a Disney store is a mass-produced collectible and his little chance of getting a decent price on ebay because there wil be a bunch more of the same thing listed there already.

After looking at the photos ( thanks kiara ) and searching ebay and some other auction sites and then the web via goggle.com I have come to the conclusion that these items are not mass-produced collectibles but unique items made at the Epcot Center in Florida.
http://www.orlando.hotels.hotelreservationnetworks.com/orlando_hotels/epcot.html
Near the bottom of the left hand column of the web page above is this entry in the World Showcase section:
Each pavilion also has a designated Kid Zone, where youngsters can try their hands at making a Moroccan fez or a Norwegian troll. Live entertainment is an integral part of the pavilions' presentations.
Could be the origin of the trolls anyway.

Even if an item is mass produced, that doesn't mean they sold many of them...many high dollar collectibles are mass produced items that bombed originally...now that they are 15-20 years old...they are sought after.
Just look at vintage Pez items.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for helping out! Thanks Kiara for posting the pics. Still trying to figure out how you did that! I was really hoping to see if I could get more info. I searched the internet and coldn'ty find anything on them. I know that these had to come from a movie. I don't think that these were hand made by some kid, because they have a price tag on the bottom. It looks like at the time that they were purchased one cost $28.
Maybe this info will help?

Umiman,
These trolls are definately Norwegian carved trolls that were sold in the Epcot Norway Pavillion. They are handicrafts of the norwegian culture, and are a norwegian collectible, not a Walt Disney collectible (they just happened to be sold at Walt Disney). Hope that helps!

Hi Lori
In your image hosting just right click on your pic and then on "properties" and you will see the picture url.
Then put [$img] in front of it and [$/img] behind it but take out the $ and it should work.

Thanks eauctionmgnt! I knew they were not a Disney produced collectible when none showed up anywhere on auctions or the internet. The Epcot Center lead was the only reference with trolls and Disney both in the same paragraph on the entire internet.
Maybe they let the kids glue on the hair on one troll and sold the rest of the finished trolls in the gift shop.
