So what if shipping is $360.00.

What do you think? Legit or fee avoidance? Would you buy?

Hee!Hoo!Hee!Hoo! Do bears...
"For SHIPPING and HANDLING within the continental U.S.A will be $360.00 dollars for a case of 10 leather jackets. This may sound expensive, but keep in mind that this auction is starting at .01 cent. These trench coats retail at 159.95 each. These items will be shipped via UPS. Unfortunately UPS will not ship to PO BOX or APO addresses. I accept money orders, credit cards, any bank cards, or electronic check thru Pay-Pal where I am a verified member. This means your sale is GUARANTEED(patently UNTRUE!!)"
CLEARLY FEE AVOIDANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not only is it fee avoidance, but the first thought that enters my mind is possibly stolen merchandise.

If you live in the same town I'd bet the seller won't let you come and pick them up yourself.

Has anyone reported them for their obvious
fee avoidance??? $0.30 to list. If item
sells at $0.01 minimum, then FVF is $0.01
(rounded up from a fraction of one cent),
so total fees to eBay are $0.31 for a $360.01
sale. And someone said they are running
other auctions like this too! WOW!

They are paying $23.75 per coat. I deal with the same company. Yes thats fee avoidance in my book, but you can bet if somebody tryed to turn them in that Ebay would tell them they don't see a problem with it.

Ebay had to shut it down or there would have been many copycats citing that auction as an example. These sellers are taking ebay's money and ebay cares about that.

So why didn't they shut down this one of his also? Will it cost $300 to ship?

Must be going by Priority Mail. Remember, ebay will only act on auctions that are turned in by ebay users. If you are selling a similar grandfather clock and only charge $200 s/h and $500 more on the actual price then it is your responsibilty to let ebay know of any possible rule infractions. Otherwise the cheaters prosper and the honest sellers lose out.

The seller of the grandfather clock just now revised the listing...
Dec-05-02 08:48:47 PST Description

It's good to know eBay gave him a chance to fix it and hopefully he won't make the same mistake twice.
