I shipped a few. My hubby went to Loew's and they gave him a heavy tube that a transom rod came in. He cut it in half and slipped the clubs in then sealed the ends.
The PO has triangular shaped priority boxes that are long enough for this too.

The USPS actually has two sizes of the triangular boxes. Most golf clubs fit in the largest one, but some don't. The ones that are a little longer than the box, I use the smaller size triangular box, cut it in half or thirds and use one end of it to cover the rest of the box. The smaller one is actually a little narrower than the longest box and so it fits inside of the biggest box. Cost about $5.00 to $7.00 to ship that way, but at least you don't have to run all over town looking for a box.

Saw boxes at Pac Mail yesterday, said they were for golf clubs, you might call and see what their price is. Yes, some do fit in the large triangular boxes by USPS, but they are hard to get, in my area.
