The only one I can positively identify is the first. It's a Fenton Silvercrest compote.

It is about 8 1/2" across and 6 1/2" high. I looked at completes on eBay and seems they only go for $10 at most. I think I'll keep this one.

I LOVE the lamp! It has a real 20s - 30s look, Art Deco. Please let us know when you list it; I'd like to bid.
Are you sure, though, that it's Bakelite? Has it passed the Bakelite tests? If so, it should do very well!

Roadsmith: The person I got this from told me the base is bakelite. The upper portion that holds the flourescent tube is plastic. How do I confirm the bakelite?
I have also listed some other deco items. I am selling wuite a few items for a coworker who no longer is interested in deco.

The link will get you to the other items.
Mcjane: I use a Kodak DX3600 camera.

http://www.plasticfantastic.com/testing.html
I do the:
Simichrome Polish Test...
This is a German metal polish that reacts (I believe) with the phenyl in BAKELITE!
SP is flesh-colored. Take a tiny dab & rub on the item in question: if BAKELITE, your cloth will turn a darkish-yellow...if any other plastic=NO CHANGE in color!
You can also do the Formula 409 test -- same color for POSITIVE testing!

on your Fenton bowl..if it does not have the Fenton mark, you might want to add that to your description...
Fenton did not start marking all pieces until 1975...before that many were sold with just a paper tag
many Fenton collectors (mostly the newer collectors) want pieces only if it has the mark.

I've never had a problem selling Silvercrest without a sticker. I've never seen a marked one. But you do need to make the lack of mark or sticker clear in the auction.

Ohmslucy: Being at work I could not say for sure. I think it is about 6" to 7" tall. I have been listing clothing for so long I forgot some of the details of collectibles. I actually started with collectibles but the last 3 years for so have been mostly CD's and clothing. I will modify the listing later today. There is another currently listed so I may see if they have the info.
I will also update the Fenton listing.

jensmome, yes they still made silvercrest after they started marking everything. My daughter-in-law used to buy it for her mother whenever they would come from California to visit...we would always have to make a trip to the Fenton factory.
Her mother passed away 2 years ago so we don't go anymore.
