I don't have a weak stomach, I'm a nurse & have seen a lot, but this really made me sick. I will never understand some sellers & bidders.

I don't think that there is any such thing as a prosthetic tongue. Why would you need one and how would it function ?

I think the auction info is fake, but very original.

Ahhh, they sell fake arms and hands at Target during Halloween. Dentures are pretty common on ebay too.

A "prosthetic tongue" denotes that the article had some form of medical efficacy. An artificial tongue would be useless.

I'd make a hell of a gag to leave that in the punchbowl at a church social.

There was a Simpson's episode about the Founding of the town of Springfield.

The tongue of Hans Sprungfeld was bitten off by a Turk in a groghouse fight. He then aquired a prosthetic tongue crafted out of silver. Known as the evilest man of the 1780's, Hans even tried to kill George Washington.

If it were a 10 inch tongue I might have bid on it.

I'm 34 years old, and the highest education I've got is my GED. I've had countless crappy, menial jobs, and I'm ready for a change. I've decided to try and go to college. The problem is that I'm really poor.

The $10.17 that they got for it won't go far in paying for college. They probably thought they'd get thousands for it.
