About 3 weeks ago a newbie won an auction for a mink cape I was selling. Well, after 5 emails and a reminder, still no contact from the buyer. She now has 4 positive feedbacks. Imagine my surprise to find feedback from her this morning
"Beautiful garment, well packaged, fast delivery". Yes, well, it is still hanging in my closet!!

Morning Amber!
I would file my NPB,
Contacting her is a waste of your valuable time. I would also put her on my block list.
After you finish filing for your final value fee, that's when I would neg. her.
I have also had buyers who gave me feedback without even an email from them,
Maybe this is something new that a NPB does, because I have had this happen to me many times also.
But then again I have had buyers give me feedback and then the check arrived in the mail, so some might do there feedback when the check is sent?..........This I don't understand either.

Yes, I've started the NPB process. Once nice thing in this case is that I can give a neg with fear of retaliation!

Of course you meant without fear instead of with fear on the retaliation.
I believe that many bad buyers try to make the seller look bad by giving them a very praiseworthy positive feedback in hopes that a negative feedback won't be returned and even if it is it makes a confusing mess to see the very good feedback have a negative posted against it.
Many, or maybe even the majority of buyers, have no idea that there is a 3 NPBs and your out rule at ebay. If this buyer has left a bunch of these positive feedbacks in lieu of contacting the sellers and paying for her auction wins then she will be gone very soon.

amber: I get more and more of these. It seems to be going around, like a virus. What makes it problematic is that we use vrane's premium feedback tool to automatically return positive feedback.
This week when the bidder got the NPB, she wrote back and claimed that not only had she received the necklace, she was wearing it and we had exchanged positive feedback.
Funny, said I. I have it right here in my hand and surprise, surprise. No record of payment.
Sometimes they attempt to prolong this charade by sticking to their lie, but this lady says she's sending a money order. Huh.

Yes tooltimes, you are right, I meant "without fear of retaliation". I just got my second neg a couple of weeks ago. We had gone through a real bad time when our 34 year old son was rushed to hospital with bleeding in his brain. I was not functioning on full power for a while, and I think I accidentally sent out a craft leaflet to the wrong buyer, so when someone won it with a BIN, it was nowhere to be found. I explained to the buyer, and apologized profusely, and spent 4 hours searching, even opened my sealed envelopes ready for mailing-no leaflet. So I wrote back and told the buyer I just couldn't find it, but if it was returned, or I could buy another, I would send it to her, (which I planned to do without charge). I was shocked when she gave me a neg. I thought about it, and then gave her one in return, not in retaliation, but because I think other sellers need to see that she gives negs very easily. She added the follow-up comment that I had given no explanation or apology, so I re-sent my 2 apologetic and explanatory emails. She wrote back and asked "did you expect me to give you positive feedback", I told her I didn't, I didn't expect her to leave ANY feedback.

I was surprised to find a pos FB from a Deadbeat Bidder, too....seems she's doing that to all her stiffed Sellers. It's a new ploy to me. She hasn't been naru'd yet, but it's only a matter of time.
This has been a very profitable holiday season for me, enough to bump me up to a Bronze Powerseller, but it's been full of confused and exasperating newbies, too! Got a "present" from one of 'em....she neg'd me first and then wanted me to resolve her "issues." I think she was under the impression she could change the neg to a pos whenever she wanted. Arrrrggghhh!!! What a PITA she was...
Well, I'm gonna enjoy being a PS for as long as it lasts....I certainly earned it. Am I correct in assuming it will disappear if I can't keep up the average with the after-holiday sales?

Amber-look at it this way-if she ever does pay you--you wont have to send the mink to her--she already has it by her feedback--LOL

Do NOT wait until you file for FVF to leave
Negative feedback!!! I used to do that too,
until I had a whole bunch of people who
already had 2 FVF's filed and once mine was
filed I could NOT leave ANY feedback!!!
ALWAYS file for FVF after leaving feedback!
