Why Me?

About an hour ago I had an auction end with buy-it-now. The total w/shipping is $16.00 whoch the buyer promptly paid with Billpoint.

Not more than a few minutes after I get the e-mail

"PLEASE DON'T SEND THIS SEND THE MONEY BACK"

With no explanation at all. I replied, simply asking "Why?" I'm waiting for an answer. I'm sure it's going to be some lame excuse that really translates into "I found it cheaper somewhere else."

Any suggestions?

You really shouldn't!
But if you do:
Be sure to deduct all expences!
And be sure to put on BBL!

BillPoint is a 'refund all or none' situation I believe.

I just got his long wordy response:

"Cancel Order Give Money Back Already Have Item"

My reply:

------------------------------------
Why would you buy something you already have?

Do realize eBay costs money? If I refund your purchase, I'm out around $4.00

AFTER you have left me positive feedback on eBay, I will refund $12.95, which is the amount paid minus eBay's fees. If I do not see a glowingly happy feedback by Tuesday morning I will mail the game with delivery confirmation as our eBay contract requires.

The link for feedback is

http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?LeaveFeedbackShow&useridto=xxxxxxxx

and the item number is xxxxxxxxx

Oh yeah, I did block him bidding again, but he's a zero feedback user- he could just open another account.

I was wrong about the BillPoint refund process being an 'all or none' process.

https://www.billpoint.com/help/

How do I issue a refund?

You can issue refunds for any order a buyer has placed through eBay Payments / Billpoint if you have enough funds available in an upcoming payment to cover the amount of the refund. Refunds can be issued for any dollar amount up to the full amount of the order.

I totally agree with what you told him!
If he doesn't follow through, I'd mail
him the item. And don't forget to leave
him feedback! :^)
