Just received my new FedEx Ground rates. No big surprises. The rate for 1# in zone 1 is up by 16 cents. In zone 8 it is up by 18 cents. Home delivery has gone from $1.10 to $1.15 & Rural from $1.50 to $1.75. To be safe you will have add $3.15 to the basic rate. Sorry, I misread the home delivery charge. My eyes strayed down a line & picked up the ins. figure.

You read that wrong. The rate went up to $1.15
What you are looking at is the normal ground residential surcharge. It used to be $1.30
You get charged that rate if you specify it is commercial and it turns out to be residential or if it is over 70lbs.
See page 102 in the rate book.

we can always borrow an idea from the char pei rescue organisation, they will pass the soon to be adopted char pei from one member to another, kind of a relay game until it reaches its destination,by car or bus or plane if someone happens to be flying.
soon, ebay sellers will be doing just that to save money.

stopwhining: Is there anything in this world that pleases you? You are a continous griper. I have used FedEx Ground from before it was bought out by FedEx. Back when it was RPS delivery. Have never had a problem. They pay claims promotly & have always corected any overcharges. My billings usually run around $200.00 per month. I had so much trouble with UPS with breakage that I quit using them altogether.
