Is USPS Delivery Confirmation adequate proof for Paypal if a buyer claims they didn't get their item?

I'm selling lots of books to college students right now and they are a prime group for auction trouble. Want to use DC because it's cheaper than insurance.

Am I under a gross misconception???? I thought the sellers 3 rules of engagement were: 1. sending to the buyers paypal confirmed mailing address. 2. Online viewable delivery confirmation. 3. Online trackable shippers insurance coverage. ONLY IF you followed all three of these directives was a seller protected under paypal's seller's protection plan?????????
