I started listing Gucci items on ebay this week. Great feedback and sales. On the third day, eBay sends an end of auction listing notice; saying i was in violation of Gucci's VeRO membership. I read the link to Gucci's page. Seems their concern is counterfeit products. I can verify authenticity. I contacted Gucci stating such, asking for their posting criteria, and I'm waiting to hear back.
Thing is twofold - I've seen several other ebay sellers posting the same Gucci products and they are still listing and functioning without interference. So it seems Gucci does not have a problem with sales on ebay; or the Internet for that matter. I'm wondering how these sellers are able to continue to operate.
Two - eBay has other Gucci sellers still functioning and selling. So my listing ending seems arbitrary. I contacted ebay for a more detailed explanation - good luck to me hearing back from them.
I'm looking for any thoughts or insights from the AW boards.

it is not Gucci that got you shut down, it was one of the other sellers...that is the way some of them keep the competition down...they turn them into ebay for selling knock off merchandise, even if it isn't.

As you can tell by quite a few of the threads in here there are a lot of sellers that will try anything to sell their products. Stealing passwords, pictures, etc. eBay pays no attention what is real or not. If someone complains they pull the auction. I think for every honest seller there is probably 3 or 4 dishonest sellers.

Could just be that Gucci was checking out ebay that particular day. If vero shut you down, it wasn't a competitor, but Gucci. Some vero members check ebay daily for ads. Others just make periodic checks. I would suggest filing a counter claim allowing you to sell the products.
