I have Windows 2000 Pro, and ran into a problem last week and had to run some repairs on my computer. Since then, my Norton isn't working right. Everything is configured, but just not working...i.e., ad blocking, scanning emails...
When I originally purchased it, I downloaded it from Symantec. Is it possible to reinstall it without being charged again? I remember something on the invoice when I did it about an extra charge that would cover free downloads - and didn't pay too much attention to it (wouldn't you know?! LOL) I have emailed tech support, but it takes 3 days for them to reply...
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated - these ads are driving me crazy!!!

One of the features of Windows 2000 Pro is that you can restore your system to a time prior to the problem. You could try that.
Other than that, you'll have to wait for tech support. They are usually faster than 3 days though. I burn a CDR of anything like that that I download as well as occasionally back up my files.
