Just received a neg from a buyer before I had done anything except send her a warning that if I didn't hear from her by Monday evening, I would file a NPB. Today she negs me for being "negative" The auction closed on the 12th of January. How do you figure these people?

You don't. You'll get a headache trying. Just e-mail her the auction is void, do the NPB thing and relist. You will naturally respond to the neg calmly and then neg her for bad attitude and non-payment. You're in the driver's seat now. What else can she do?

Sorry to hear about that, sanmar.
The other day you told us this: I hjaven't had a neg in 2 yrs. & the last one was my own fault. When you sellers start being honest & give honest answers, then you won't have problems.
Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not picking on you and you seem like a nice guy. But when you said that the other day I tried to explain that sometimes you can do everything right and still get negged.

Ya, Kiara, you are so right. Some days it doesn't pay to get out of bed. Dazn, it really burns when a newbie does something this dumb. (she has 13 + feedbacks & now 1 neg).

Sorry to hear that sanmar...From reading the messages you have on this board you are probably the second best seller next to me ofcourse All joking aside, it seems like you do everything by the rules and then someone comes in that has no experience on ebay and wham you got it. Maybe that is why some people won't sell to low feedback buyers. Well if she keeps that up it will only take 17 auctions to get her NARU.

Sanmar I'm sorry to hear of your neg, but this is what happens when A Seller tries to be nice and understanding.
In my case auction ended 12/7, week after week buyer said, money is in the mail, well comes 12/16 I email her she said, bank said, check was cashed. I said, send me a copy or send me a payment, because I didn't get the check and I didn't cash it. 12/26 I email her and I get NO REPLY, Jan 4th I email for an update on payment, I get no Reply.
Last night Jan. 25th.......... I go to file for NPD...........well I am over the time frame of 45 days for filing............THAT'S BECAUSE I WAS BEING NICE, AND ALSO I TRUSTED MY BUYER....
WELL I WENT AND GAVE HER A NEG. RIGHT AWAY, and .............low and behold..... she is A Live !!!!!!!!!................comes back to me right away and gives me a NEG............
I could also give her another Neg because she bought two Items but I don't think I will bother............I always loose out on filing for my NPB because I believe my buyers all the time.
Now, I have decided to file for my NPB after 15days if payment has not arrived. I don't care what the buyer thinks, or says because as in your case you tried to give her time to respond before you did your filing and see
where it got you..............got you a Neg. so no more being soft and understanding until I do my first filing.
After the first filing then she can still send her payment but if not I will file right on time for the FVF, and if the payment does come I can always lift the FVF off from her name.
I think we try so hard to be understanding and yet the Buyer is not concerned and some of them don't really plan on sending the payment but they keep you hanging and hope you will loose out on your filing. But that has ended, NO MORE Mr. NICE GUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So now I got my 5th undeserved NEG. and I don't really care anymore because none of it is fair but it will always be like this.
