I have never used the featured in category before but am considering it for a valuable watch my mom wants me to sale.
The lack of activity on ebay makes me hesitate spending $20 though. However if it works it would be worth the extra cost.
Anyone have any advice and experience with it?
Thanks!

If it is an item people would normally search for, then the featured option may be money wasted. Featured gets your item seen by those browsing the category. It doesn't guarantee more money for your item either. Featured seems to work best for Dutch Auctions offering a large quantity of items.

I've only used this for a couple of auctions...it's an expensive option. I use it when (A) I've got a really "high dollar" item and (B) There are a whole lot of other similiar items. Specifically, I used it when I sold a couple of really nice antique quilts...there were a zillion other quilts running and I didn't think even the most avid collector would want to scroll through the pages looking for mine. I sold both for over $1,000 each so, in that case, felt the $20 was money well-spent. Like so much on eBay, it all depends on what you're selling and how many other similiar items are out there. Good luck!
