How can I search these threads for a particular topic discussed some time ago - I want the one for shiping a bicycle. Where is the search button located?
Thanks,
Vinnie

How do I search the message boards?

At this time, there is no search tool for the message boards. You may use Ctrl-F to find a keyword in a thread title or within a thread, however.

This is from the help section.

Don't remember how I found it, but I've had it bookmarked forever!

I guess that's an acceptable Bill Clinton-like lie.

AuctionAce, they're not lying. I believe they deleted the "search" button quite some time ago, but they didn't delete the page itself. If you're new to the website, you definitely can't do a search of the message board--but if have the page bookmarked, you can access it.

BTW when they changed their name to Vendio, I went through my [short] list of bookmarks and changed them all to Vendio. I figured that someday they'd stop the automatic forwarding!

Hi Vinnie,
I must have missed that thread. What kind of info are you looking for on shipping a bicycle. Maybe I can help. I've sold and shipped quite a few online. High end mountain bikes are my niche.

Thanks Redd, I just went to my local bike dealer and got a box - he took the new bike out and sold me the box ($5) and all I will do is remove the front wheel, handlebars and pedals and pack in my old one as the new one was.

He gets them by UPS so it should ship OK - price looks like $35 or so to Zone 8.

No problem Cap! Yes, the boxes are UPS friendly, that's why I prefer the bike shop boxes. $35 sounds about right for zone 8. Glad it worked out for you!
