Hi all - I clicked on this company's banner ad on AuctionWatch and after visiting the site for a week or so finally signed up for one of their "dealer memberships". Now I am feeling kindof dumb as I am normally very skeptical, and should have checked them out much more thoroughly before handing over a large (for me) sum of money. I am having problems with them now, have filed a report with Square Trade, and am still waiting for some resolution. So I'm just curious if anyone has had positive experiences with them? Although I am skeptical of them, I'm wondering if some of their offers may be worthwhile.
Thanks
Verna

Oooh -Tom is going to give you an earffull on these guys.

I've never dealt with them but I have read plenty about them and shockingly - not a single one of those comments was positive.

Square Trade has proven itself to be a joke as well.

Although I am skeptical of them...

Why would an offer like this make you skeptical?

FREE FREE FREE $1000.00 WORTH of retail merchandise for visiting...

Just because swapselltrade got NARU'd from eBay and got locked out of PayPal and makes ridiculous offers should be no reason for you to be skeptical.

My favorite description of swapselltrade was "internet gypsy," I thought it very fitting.

Thanks for the replies and the link to the previous thread. I had looked on the "Buyer Beware" thread but could only go back 100 days and am not aware of a search function on this board.
I had no idea they were kicked off ebay (How would I find that out??) and I used PayPal to pay them for an order, so there was nothing to be suspicious of there. The "Square Trade" Seal of Approval was the clincher though, as well as seeing their banner ad here. Oh well, live and learn. As for the offer of "Free Merchandise", that's a pretty common come-on type of claim (I get them every month in my legitimate credit card bills) and I know they make up for it in shipping charges -- so although I didn't fall for it, it didn't ring any warning bells for me either.
Thanks again

After seeing your question and recalling some of the past threads I decided to ask the question of Vendio as to why they would accept their advertising.... I'm interested to see what their reply will be.

Here's an entertaining thread that probably isn't going to win swapselltrade many customers. It starts out slow but the thread does gather momentum.

I too was disappointed to see Vendio accepting swapselltrade's ads, but apparently the money was good.

Hmmm....Perhaps Joe still reads these boards? I just got a nice polite email from him promising Priority Mail delivery of my missing order along with a tracking number! So I will remain a skeptic but perhaps sometime customer (assuming it arrives of course!)
