Just got an email from my mother who was contacted by another bidder on a piece of software she purchased. This bidder offered to pay her for a copy of this software. Where at ebay do you forward this type of thing?

This has nothing to do with Ebay.
Tell mom to make a copy and a few bucks!

I learned a long time ago not to argue with this woman when she gets something in her head - espcially when it is something she considers to be a moral issue.
Also - somehow I think if either of you were softwaree sellers that were dealing in this title you might be a tad upset if someone ws using ebay as a forum to sell bargain basement priced bootlegs and taking your possible sales.

It sounds like a bottom feeder. This is the only place I could find to report it if she wishes to.

BTW, how did the bidder get your mother's e-mail? I thought you couldn't see other buyer's e-mail addresses?

If his mom was an ebay seller it would be easy though. Or if his mom had an email address as the ebay ID.

My advice is to just have your Mom tell the potential buyer that even if she was so inclined, she no longer owns the CD, that someone purchased it.
It could very well be a trap by a competitor to see if she would sell a bootleg copy.
The person that emailed could have another ID and 'asked seller a question' and got the email address that way. Could have been a prior winner even.

Nothing to do with eBay... why not just have her send him the URL of copy right laws concerning copying of software?
If eBay does interfere, then they are really going against their "just a venue" claim to fame.... I would be interested in how they respond.

If it's another bidder on the ebay site, yes it does have something to do with ebay. I would question ebay as to how they are getting my e-mail address.

PC - She WON the software - she is not the seller.
