So I bid and win an auction the other day.
Right smack dab in the middle of the official Ebay "You've Won" email I see this
BRAND NAME HOME APPLIANCES -- NEAR YOU!
Find brand name home appliances such as Kenmore, GE, Whirlpool, and Frigidaire at rock bottom prices by shopping at Sears Regional Outlet on eBay!
If you live in Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando, Hartford or Atlanta, click here for great deals in your area! Bookmark this page for more great bargains and additional regions coming soon!
The link leads to Ebay User ID About me page for sears_regional_outlet_stores
I'm quite pissed about it......
Didn't we all go over this a year and a half ago when Ebay was using these emails to advertise 3rd party companies that sold products that directly competed with Ebay sellers???
Didn't Ebay after a huge, public uproar from sellers STOP this practice?
What kind of adds are MY customers getting??
What kind of adds are YOUR customers getting??
If I am going to be forced to see an add in a "You've Won" Email from Ebay shouldn't it be to promote items from the seller who stuff I just won??
On a side note how much do you think sears paid to get that out ???
P.S. I had bid and won some shipping supplies if anyone is curious.

Another thing some ebay emails and warnings is about the not using Western Union wires overseas. ( sensible warning after all the Romanian laptop scams )
In all of BidPay's infinite wisdom, they decide to change their name from BidPay to Western Union / BidPay .

There are lots of other 3rd party products they could be advertising besides appliances. Any seller who sells new items should be hopping mad.

Stop - I've been spending the past couple weeks contacting oversees manufacturers regarding purchasing electronics items for ebay sales. I would be furious to find out that the company that is collecting a percentage of my sales is trying to direct my customers to other sellers that carry similar products. It's a conflict of interest.

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

That is SPAM 100%. I just saw it on my e mail from e bay, eoa notice. I chewed their A$$ out about that three years ago and a few days later, poof it was at the bottom where it belonged......We care less about any advertisements they may want to place there. I only care about MY dealings with MY customer.....the more people on Vendio battle against what I say the less I care to take up arms against them,,,e bay....long as it has no immediate effect on me personally, personally I care less at this point......when it does,,,,,,Like those NPB's having say in feed back you better believe I WILL rock the boat! And if you think I have not e mailed e bay to death over this you are sadly mistaken. HAVE YOU sent them an e mail lately and voiced your outrage on this matter? I have and do on a daily basis. NPB's HAVE NO right to any say in feed back!!!!! Nothing was bought! therefore nothing need be said by them. We lost money, e bay lost,,,some,,,, money and THEY, the NPB lost Nothing!!!!!!
