There is now an ongoing "discussion" about having eBay once again put zip codes in the auctions.
1. Keep databases updated is not free, who should pay for these frequent changes?
2. People do not update their personal information after every move. Therefore making the current zip code wrong... not in all cases but some.
3. eBay has in place a prebuyer tool that would require a bidder to email you before placing a bid. Why is there so much resistance to using it? Where is the proof that it will cost you bids if you have never used it?
It seems that "sellers" are complaing about things, without trying to the tools that are already in place to help out in certain situations.
eBay has tools, if not being used and evaluated, how can the possibly be expected to correct them?

100% agreement. It was a very smart move to drop the zip codes after you look at things. Only a fool would act like a madman and cry like a baby over the new policy.

43 million Americans will relocate this year .. about 1/6 of the total U.S. population
How soon before those buyers zip codes are bad and causing sellers to send erroneous shipping quotes and receiving payments for those misquotes? Ebay was very smart to drop the zip codes for the buyers.

Ebay has a major problem with buyers with dead emails and the last thing they need is a bunch of bidders with incorrect zip codes.
