Hi people. It's been a while since I posted. Does anyone here regularly ship items to Mexico, and if so, what is your opinion pro or con regarding the safety of the mails? How about the customers? Reliable? I'm considering including Mexico among the countries I'll ship items to. At this time, I'm usually selling lightweight paper items with values normally under $20. Any advice?

Thanks,
Jack

I've had some very nice buyers from Mexico, and never a problem in shipping. Wish I could say that about some of my US buyers LOL

The upper class in Mexico may be small but they know how to throw around money.

One Mexico expierence only it it was a very good one. ( only one with Venezuela too but it also turned out very good )

I just have two words of suggestion for you if you ship to Mexico:

REGISTERED MAIL

I've never had a problem, but then again I have only shipped via registered mail. It is expensive, but your item will probably get there.

As long as your item is marked with a low customs value you should have no problem. NEVER use air freight - airport customs are out in left field - they charged a friend of mine more in customs than the cost of the packages we sent him. UPS shipments are the easiest.

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

So we don't cut the Canadians any slack on customs, but we should those Mexicans? Not is in this life time...

I don't see a difference shipping their as to anywhere else in the world...

Twelve - I was not referring to lying on the customs form, I was referring to the value level itself.
