I'm looking for opinions regarding software rather than web based sniping services. I just downloaded Auction Sentry, which looks very simple to set up and use. Has anyone here used this program. There is a one time cost to register, but unlike web services, that is it. I have used Vrane in the past but reliability has been an issue.
Thanks

Auction Sentry is my recommendation.
Well worth the $15.00 registration fee.
If I have listed an auction that is getting a lot of bids, and I am enjoying watching the price go up, I can put it in the Software to watch it, and I associated a cash register (ka-ching) sound file to accompany any new bids.

I am interested in using sniping software as well, but have always been a bit reluctant to give my Ebay password to another company. A password is only as secure as the honesty of the employees of the sniping software company.

I've used auctionstealer.com and they are great for once in a while bidding (10 snipes a month are free).
