Got this message today, have done nothing about it. Anyone know if it is authentic?

This is definitely not from eBay. Forward it to [email protected]

You mean eBay isn't checking to make sure their "INFORMATIONS" is up-to-date?

That's a quick key to identifying spoofs.

Thanks, didn't even notice the spelling mistake. I never respond to those things, I always go to the site, if there is nothing mentioned there, I figure there is a problem, but some of them look so authentic!

If they wanted you to check your information, they would have you do it in eBay, not by email. Definitly a spoof.

Not sure what the "spoofer" wanted to accomplish here because that (invalid)URL points directly to the Ebay domain.

Fill it out, but put in all bogus sware word information. We need to rebel against these criminals trying to get all of our information. Just maybe it will start to discourage them when all they get is bogus information.

I would be very tempted to forward the next one of these I receive to John Ashcroft with a side note that I think it is originating with a terrorist group that is trying to torpedo Ebay and cause a stock market crash. Let him click on the link and see what happens.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.
