What in the heck are these 3 things. I picked 'em up with the other stuff I got a few weeks ago. These things are made of wood. Looks like they were really roughed out. They have a blue/green tint on the front like oxidized copper Each one has a hole on the top of a 4 sided post thing. I am sure they hung on something but what I don't know. They are about 15 inches long
Any ideas folk?
Here is a bad foto of 'em. I hope you can make them out.

They look like medieval musicians. Can you tell if they are old? Try sniffing - if they smell really musty, they might be old. Could be architectural pieces. They are really great!

I say they are Indian (the country, not our native American people) but that's all I can say!

My guess is Goddess "Quan Yin" who is mostly always depicted holding vases, brooms and other carp in her hands.
Of course there are many Quan Yins for sale on Ebay.

I think the India guestimation may be correct. If not India, then maybe eastward to such lands such as Burma or Nepal.
A very good find that has a great chance for a good price. Good eye Paloma!

Probably an outdoor decoration on an entrance gate to a house. I was going to say a fountain but I doubt if wood would be used for that. Could have been used for a back bar. I think they are really nice. but to put them in what catagory I would not even venture a guess

Well, I really have no idea where they are from. Lets say South America, or Central America. Send a picture to the Smithsonian, maybe they can give you a definitive answer.

nope, not South or central America, they are Indian. The flute
can be seen here
http://www.chandrakantha.com/articles/indian_music/ottu.html
and the stringed instrument is most likely a vina
http://www.chandrakantha.com/articles/indian_music/saraswati_vina.html
or even a Sitar, but they are usually shown as being much longer (because they are)
the middle figure is a dancer, I bet.
